who’s is the autonomic nervous system
A
it si divided into two, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
sympathetic - activated during stress - fight or flight reaction
- mass discharge signalling is possible
- main neurotransmitter is noradrenaline
parasympathetic nervous system - activated during rest
- discrete reflexes
- main neurotransmitter is acetylcholine
both systems work at the same time and are constantly active
continuous balance of activity from two sides
