When does autloland start checking the components required for a LAND 3 ?
After takeoff due to Main Gear Air Ground logic
On arrival and controller says fly hdg 090 to intercept ILS 140. You get cleared for approach with and push Approach button what do you do?
- Arm LOC & GS Modes
- Turn on all 3 auto pilots
- Power 3 auto pilots by 3 different electrical systems. Center is not from the left anymore but a static inverter to the DC system.
What is max intercept for localizer?
120 degrees
What is max intercept for glideslope?
80 degrees
When does go around switch become active?
Once putting Flaps Down or Intercepting Localizer
When LOC and GS become armed, what two modes are now armed due to Boeing logic?
Rollout (roll mode)
Flare (pitch mode)
On LOC & GS and I go through 1500’- what happens system wise?

I go through 1500’ and check is complete and I see LAND 3, I’ve already briefed the CAT III approach. I get to 800’ and I don’t have a working APU today but both engines working. What is the status of the left and right AC Bus Tie Breakers?
@799’ have a Left Generator Fault-engine still running but generator not- what will happen now?
What will the AC bus tie breakers do now?
Both Open and Standing BY!
Left Generator Control Breaker will close. Right Operating generator will power the left AC Bus.
Powers the opposite side. Working generator (right) will power the RIGHT AC BUS and through the closed bus tie breakers will power the LEFT AC BUS
They Will between 1500’ and 200’ - the DC system through the static inverter will no longer power the center AC. it goes back to Normal. Left AC powers Center AP- Go to “Land 2 no Land 3”.
I have 2 working busses so I’m fail passive for a land 2.
Just went from Land 2 No Land 3- you didn’t brief land 2, what are you going to do?
Go around!
Hit Go around Button-
GO Around Switch on Forward Of Thrust Levers
Commands GA/GA/GA/CMD
Pitch: Autothrottle will maintain 2000 fpm rate of climb
Track: Lateral mode will maintain last track of when you pushed the Go Around Switch.
Airspeed: Will maintain the last indicated airspeed or whatever is in the airspeed window. Whichever is higher
Power: Set to maintain all of the above at that airspeed.
On a go around what do you do at 400’ or above?
What happens to the autopilot when you do this?
Select a roll mode-
LNAV
Autopilot will go back to single autopilot
When you have a go around what does your Autloland Status Annunciator change to?
Will display “No Land 3”
