(Autopilot)
What does TCS button do?
Declutches AP without disconnecting it
Turn Knob Submode
• Autopilot engaged and TCK is out of detent
• It will cancel all the modes and hold angle selected by TCK
• When it’s in detent goes back to Heading Hold mode
ROL - on PFD
• Autopilot not engaged and TCK is out of detent -inhibits autopilot engagement
TKNB - on PFD
Heading Hold Mode is divided into:
- Roll hold submode
- Turn knob submode
- Wing level submode
Wings Level Submode
• Provides angle of “0°”
Active:
- Go Around mode
- Windshear mode
- Primary hdg data is invalidROL - on PFD
Low Bank Mode
Bank reduced from 27° to 14°
• Selected by pressing BNK
• Annunciated only with HDG
Automatically ON above 25000ft
↘️OFF below 24750 ft
Heading Hold Mode
If no lateral mode is selected:
• Provides roll commands to maintain the heading at the moment of engagement
• Once this mode is selected, reference HDG is established 1sec after system detects bank less than 6°
• Bank 0° is selected until HDG reference is established
ROL - msg on PFD
Management of the autopilot is accomplished using:
- The Autopilot Controller
(Pitch and Turn Controller) - The Flight Guidance Controller
ROLL Hold Submode
• Autopilot engaged
• Using TCS button (Touch Control Steering)
and turn above 6° and release TCS
• It will hold bank angle
• You can cancel by selecting LAT mode or manually turn to below 6° or using turn control knob
ROL - on PFD
