Gradual mild walking PNA
Scant sputum
Pharyngitis and AOM
Patchy infiltrates on chest x-ray
What is the treatment for m pneumoniae?
Azithromycin
Doxycycline
What are the types of chlamydia?
Trachomatis
Psittaci
Pneumoniae
None have peptidoglycan wall
What do you use to treat chlamydia pneumoniae?
Azithromycin
What does Chlamydia psittaci cause?
Bird acquired PNA
What is the treatment for chlamydia psittaci?
Tetracycline
Erythromycin
What does chlamydia trachomatis cause?
The most common STD chlamydia
What is the treatment for chlamydia?
Azithromycin
Doxycycline
(also give Rocephin while you’re at it for gonorrhea)
