Stereotyping
How we make sense of the world. Is not necessarily bad.
Attitude
Evaluative statements of judgements concerning objects, people or events - tend to be enduring.
3 components; cognitive, affective, behavioural.
Cognitive Dissonance
An incompatibility between an attitude and a behaviour or two or more attitudes.
Individuals will seek to rectify the situation.
Desire to reduce dissonance depends on; importance of element, degree of individual influence, reward involved in dissonance
