How do ATRX mouse inactivation studies and patient data indicate that chromatin remodelling complexed mediate progenitor proliferation and transition into differentiation

A

1) Atrx deletion resulted in extensive loss of neural progenitors, small brains and early postnatal death (Berube et al., 2005)
2)Atrx protein is crucial for replication through heterochromatin. Loss of Atrx results in stalled replication forks, DNA damage and reduced progenitor pools resulting gin the poor productive of the upper later of cortical neurons (huh et al., 2016)
3) When the human ATRX gene is mutated, it is the cause of ATR-X syndrome,, a disorder encompassing severe ID, thalassemia and facial as well as urogenital abnormalities(Gibbons et al)
