3 each side. 6 in total.
Where are the fire detectors located?
x1 installed at the engine, and x2 installed at the AFT firewall.

ESS BUS 1&2
How long is advised to wait before discharging the 2nd bottle?

Will the system check for N1 below 45% for the second bottle discharge?
No, as the first has already been fired.
Where are the fire bottles located?
R/H AFT deck
Where are the hand held fire extinguisher bottle(s)?
Rear centre console. There is an option for one in the rear right of the PAX cabin
What exstingushing agent is used?
HALON 1301
What happens when you arm the the fire system?
Fuel shut-off valve will close, the green ACTIVE light will illuminate, yellow BOT1 select switch will illuminate.
What happens after you press the BOT1 select switch?
The green EXT on top of the BOT switch will illuminate and the system will automatically discharge bottle 1 after N1 RPM falls below 45%
How many configurations are there for pax seating?
4
What safety feature do the seats have?
energy absorbing devices that have an index mark to show if they’ve been triggered.
What kind of ELT is in the H145?
KANNAD 406 AP-H (INTEGRA)
What does the ELT system consist of?
KANNAD 406 transmitter, remote, antenna and programmable Adapter
What duration can ELT transmit at 406MHz?
24hrs
What duration can the ELT transmit at 121.5MHz?
48hrs
Where is the arming switch of the ELT?
On the “KANNAD 406 AP-H” ELT
Where does the ELT recieve it’s GPS date from?
Via the GTN750
Where is the ELT located?
R/H side of the pilot seat
What is the normal operation of the ELT?
Toggle swithc on ELT to ARM position, and the remote to ARM position. Aircraft NAV system active.
When should the ELT be disabled?
During heavy maintenance or shipping.
Where is the first-aid kit located?
on the Clamshell door
How is ventilation achieved in the cabin?
A blower sucking fresh air from the L/H NACA duct, or from the cabin recirculating duct.
How is the flap valve controlled?
The PUSH-FOR-AIR bowden cable.
How many ventilation blowers are there?
2, one in th nose and one in the PAX cabin roof.
How many Over-temp switches are there in the heating system?
- 105C in the mixing valve and 82C in the recirculation duct.
Where is the bleed air authorization from?
The FADEcs/EECUs
How many temperture sensors are there in the ventilation system?
- One in the cabin roof. One inside the outlet duct of the mixing valve.
Where is the heating power supply from?
ESS BUS 1 for the cockpit, SHED BUS 2 for the cabin.
The FADEC/EECU controls what to open and close the bleed valves?
The mixing valve which controls 2 shut of valves and 2 metering valves.
The PUSH-FOR-AIR control does what?
Moves the flapper valve to allow NACA air in, or cabin air in.
What is installed to improve de-fogging?
An E-Heater
When is the E-Heater active?
When the bleed air heating system is on, and the PUSH-TO-DEFOG lever is pushed.
How is the pilot notified that the bleed air is open?
By a “Bleed Air Flag” on the MCD’s.
How are the instruments cooled?
By the R/H NACA duct or R/H recirculation duct depending on the flap valve position, and Avionic cooling blower and PUSH-FOR-AIR bowden cable.
Which BUS is the instrument cooling system powered from?
SHED BUS 2
How is the instrument cooling blower controlled?
Automatically via a temp switch inside the instrument panel.
When will the instrument cooling blower switch on/off?
On above 45C and off below 40C.
When will a “MFD OVERHEAT” caution appear?
if the intrument panel reaches 65C.
When the E-heater is switched on, what happens to the ventilation system?
It is automatically switched on to minimum level.
Where is the first aid kit located?
the first aid kit is inside a flexible net attached to the LH clamshell door
