ASSESSMENT SYSTEM Flashcards
HEIGHT TOLERANCES
+/- 100 ft
Fail point:
- Height error > 200 ft
- Height error > 100 ft & > 15 sec
- PA: No GA at DH/A -0/+50 ft.
- PA: Height loss in GA > type allowance due incorrect execution.
- NPA: MDH/A -0/+100 if level flight req.
BASIC TOLERANCES
- Not achieved at expense of smoothness and good coordination.
HEIGHT TOLERANCE EXTENSION
- Due handling characteristics or turbulence.
- in turbulence candidate to make due allowance for conditions at MDA or for GA.
SPEED CONTROL
+/- 10 kt
Fail point:
- Speed error > 15 kt.
- Speed error > 10 kt & > 15 sec.
- Lack of immediate action if IAS < target on APPR and GA.
- Failure to observe placard speed limits.
SPEED TOLERANCE EXTENSION
- Turbulence: Add 5 kt
- Aircraft characteristics: If difficult to meet tolerances under certain conditions, no fail if corrective action promptly taken.
TRACKING ON NAVAIDS
- AWY: +/- 5 deg.
- AWY: Correction in wrong sense > 1 min - fail point.
- Intermediate APPR: +/- 5 deg.
- PA: Established ILS 1/2 scale deflection LOC/GS.
- NPA: +/- 5 deg.
SIMULATED ENGINE FAILURE
- Initial swing <= 15 deg.
- V2 attained: V2 -0/+10 to ACCEL.
- ACCEL height: -0/+200 ft or as per SOP.
