A
  • Stop: Athlete stops participating in sport
  • Talk: What happened? Where it happened?
  • Observe: Observe injured area
  • Prevent: Taking player off field for further assessment

TOTAPS

A
  • Talk: Ask questions about injury
  • Observe: Observe injured area. Compare both sides of body to determine abnormalities
  • Touch: Touch the casualty. Compare both sides of body to determine abnormalities.
  • Active Movement: Ask casualty to move injured area. Assess if pain free and has full range of movement
  • Passive Movement: Move the injured area for the injured athlete
  • Skills Test: Determine if the injured area can undergo the requirements of sport
