A Hazard is something with the potential to cause harm. IE machinery, chemicals, stress

Define ‘RISK’

A

A risk is the likelihood of harm from a HAZARD

Risk = likelihood x Severity

IE Electricity = Hazard in normal conditions, risk is LOW. Remove insulation on wires risk increases to HIGH
