Define ‘HAZARD’
A
A Hazard is something with the potential to cause harm. IE machinery, chemicals, stress

Define ‘RISK’
A
A risk is the likelihood of harm from a HAZARD
Risk = likelihood x Severity
IE Electricity = Hazard in normal conditions, risk is LOW. Remove insulation on wires risk increases to HIGH

What is ‘Risk profiling’?
A
Risk profiling is looking at all of the risks and threats faced by an organisation to determine overall risk then decided what to do
