– The Arabian desert has very high temperatures and low rainfall levels, which made it hard to grow crops in rear livestock -The Himalayan mountains are too steep for building on and the climate is too cold for agriculture -Much of Russia is covered by tundra and taiga(thick coniferous forest) biomes, with extremely cold climates and permafrost. This makes agriculture and other activities very challenging
