What is an asylum seeker?
A person who flees to another country for safety, and asks for for permission to live there.
What is an invader?
A person who enters a country to attack it
What is a refuge?
A person who has been forced to flee from danger e.g war
What is an economic migrant?
A person who moves to a new place to find work, and to improve their standard of living.
What is a push factor?
A push factor is anything that makes you want to leave a place.
What is a pull factor?
A pull factor is anything that attracts you to a place.
Examples of push factors
War, can’t find a job , poverty and an unwanted dictator
Examples of pull factors to move to the UK
Uk is a stable country
We have available jobs
We treat everyone equally no their gender, race religion etc…
We will help people who need help
What is Migration?
Is a permanent or semi-permanent movement from one place to another. It can be within a country(national migration) or movement between countries ( international migration)
What is an immigrant.
An immigrant is a person who had moved into a place from another country.
