What were Henry VIII’s personal strentghs?
A
- He was popular, unlike his father he was liked by the noblemen.
- His wife, Catherine of Aragon, gave him strong connections to Spain.

- Naive, he was 18 and had little experience of government.
- He was never meant to inheret the throne, his older brother died unexpectedly.
- His view of kingship was based off of legends, the idea of a warrior king and a renaissance prince.
- Egotistical and overconfident.
- Risk-taker, he took part in dangerous sports like jousting.

The throne was secure, H7 had limited threats and ensured that there were no pretenders to the throne.

A
Henry VIII wanted to be a Renaissance Prince, athletic, hunter, wrestler, musician, dancer and a polygot.

He seperated himself from his father. In 1510 he executed the two ringleaders of the Council Learned.
