The software apps for details will be installed on department devices for use by members. However, if a member decides to download the app to his or her personal device, the department agrees not to use the data collected, except for the detail assignment.

A

A member may deny a department request to access their personal phone without subjecting member to discipline. If there is a search warrant, court order, or subpoena for a members device, the Department must immediately notify the union prior to the seizure of the members personal phone.

A

If a detain me is anticipated to be held over four hours in a MSP lock up, they must notify the troop Duty Office to get a four hour overtime shift filled.
-If a detain me is suicidal and the shift requires an observation of assignment, they should also get four hours of OT for this assignment. In other words hire a member for four hours.
