According to Aristotle, what do all things such as arts, sciences, investigations and actions share in common? (Chapter 1)
They are all a means to an end. We do them for a purpose of acheiving something greater

master science is politics. because it determines what people should and shouldn’t do. It decides on other sciences. It is to secure satisfaction for it’s residence.

- Self Sufficient: makes life desirable

- What is the highest good? Exactly how does it fulfill the requirements he has identified? (Chapter 7)
Happiness is the highest good. All things we do lead to happiness, and it does make life desireable.
- According to Chapter 9, how is happiness acquired?
It is acquired with developing virtue, and in order to do so you need some basic life things.
- What does Aristotle identify as the most likely candidate for the highest good in Chapter 4? What problems does he develop with this conception of the purpose of human life?
happiness. The problem is that people define it differently.
Relates soul to children
you have a irrational child, and rational parent trains/ guides the irrational child. We should find a balance between our irrational mind(desires) and our rational side.
We are products of our childhood. politics should focus on kids
