The CPI was US government’s most blatant attempts fo change public sentiment about the war, george creel launched a vast propaganda campaign, they distributed brochures and controlled information, journals were encouraged to promote only the government view of the war, citizens were encouraged to turn in anyone who was wary of war
Sedition and Sabotage Act
Passed in 1918, expanded meaning of espionage act to make illegal any public expression of opposition to the war and allowed officials to prosecute anyone who criticized the government

Passed in 1917, it gave the government new tools with which to combat spying, sabotage, obstruction of war - all broadly defined

Wilson’s most impt and visible triumph, the creation of permanent international organization to oversee world affairs. The allies accepted it in 1919
Treaty of Versailles
Treaty that ended WWI. Germany forced to cede territory to France, Belgium, Poland and assumed all fault of war and their military power was drastically reduced. The league of nations was created.

Established again in 1915 by white southerners. Their membership reached new records due to them expanding their hate and bigotry to jews, Catholics, foreigners as well as blacks.
