AP4C Flashcards
What are the 5 detection channels of measurement on the AP4C?
Phosphorus (P)
Hydrogen Nitrogen Oxygen (HNO)
CH (CxHy bonds)
Arsenic (As)
Sulfur (S)
What is the response time(s) for the AP4C detector?
2 sec avg. (up to 30 sec at low concentration)
What type of battery does the AP4C use?
Lithium Ion Non-rechargeable battery/no standard “D” cells
What’s the technology of the AP4C?
Flame Spectrometry
How do you perform the AP4C weekly check?
- Check the kit/meter for damage/ missing accessories.
- Install batt pack with batts into end of AP4C
- Insert hydrogen cyl. Into backside of handle(align pins to 12/6 position) turn the cyl. Clockwise to the “ON” pos.
- Listen for the “Pop”- look for the “Wait” light to display.
5.wait for “Ready” light to display.
- Place sound clip in.
- Identify channels.
- Preform confidence test using household ammonia-HNO Channel response.(only hold NH3 near tip for a few sec- DO NOT SATURATE)
- Let unit clear all alarms.
- Use S4PE heater.
- Let meter clear all alarms.
- Turn hydrogen cyl. Counterclockwise-remove and store.
- Remove Batt pack/store in tank.
14.document weekly check off.
How do you operate the S4PE heater?
- Insert battery.
- Place “black” tip on S4PE/ press trigger to activate heater/ verify the light illuminates and release.
- Remove battery pack and store.
- Remove tip from S4PE (Let Cool), place in case.
- Place cover over tip of the S4PE and store in case.
First LED light is what color?
Yellow
LED lights 2-5 are what color?
Red
LED blinking means
Maximum concentration reading
What are the status LEDs in the center of the channel board?
Fail: detector not working
Wait: initializing/no flame
Fail blinking: detector may need servicing
H2: low hydrogen flow
Bat: Low power level (change batt)
Ready: detector is ready
