A
radiates to carotids low volume slow rising pulse narrow pulse pressure left ventricular hypertrophy or failure forceful apex systolic thrill in aortic area

A
congenital
age related (calcific valvular disease)
rheumatic fever

what is rheumatic fever
A
caused by group A B-haemolytic streptococcal infection
diagnosis requires evidence of strep (elevated antistreptolysin O titre)
