When slats are extended in icing conditions:
Avoid extended flight.
Above 80 kt reject criteria:
Fire warning or severe damage. Sudden loss of engine thrust. Malfunctions or indications that give clear indications that the aircraft will not fly safely. Any red ECAM warning. Any amber ECAM caution that could lead to a catastrophic failure.
If needing to hold at a slower speed what would be appropriate and what should be avoided?
Use CONF 1 and S speed. Avoid being configured while holding during icing and/or turbulence.
What holding speed would be appropriate for higher altitudes?
CI 0
Turns after Takeoff
No turns commenced below 1,000 ft AFE when weather is less than 1,000/3 unless AERODATA or SID requires it.
Takeoff at reduced thrust is not permitted:
On contaminated runways. Windshear conditions. When AERODATA requires it. When MEL requires it. When FLEX temp is within 10C of OAT.
Ice shedding on a NEO:
In icing conditions at 3C to above -9C or if significant engine vibrations occurs, momentarily achieve 60% N1 at intervals not greater than 30 mins. In icing conditions below -9C or if significant engine vibration occurs, momentarily achieve 60% N1 at intervals not greater than 120 mins.
Ice shedding on a CEO:
In icing conditions at 3C or less or if significant engine vibration occurs, momentarily achieve 50% N1 at intervals not greater than 15 mins.
How should you handle a tailpipe fire?
ENG MASTER to OFF. Do not pressure ENG FIRE pb. Complete the COM Engine Tailpipe Fire procedure.
When should you abort a start attempt?
Tailpipe fire. Electrical power supply failure. Manual start. Automatic start in the air.
If ECAM does not display NW STRG DISC memo?
Verify with ground crew that the tow pin is in the towing position and don’t start and engine during pushback.
When transferring electrical power during preflight, ensure what remains on?
RCDR GND CTL.
When flying internationally, what fuel is added on INIT B in the FINAL field?
(CONT +10%) + (FINAL RESERVE)

Abort the engine start sequence and contact MOC.

On certain A319s/A320s, set the GAIN to +4 when flying below FL200.

How do you turns the PACKS ON after doing a PACKS OFF takeoff?
Select PACK 1 ON after thrust reduction to CL.
Select PACK 2 ON at least 10 secs. after PACK 1 is selected ON for passenger comfort.
