State of apprehension or an imagined fear about what may happen.
Anxiety
The presence of recurrent, unexpected Panic Attacks followed by at least 1 month of persistent concern about having another Panic Attack, worry about the possible implications or consequences of the Panic Attacks, or a significant behavioral change related to the attacks.
Panic Disorder
This type of anxiety disorder is persistent fears of objects or situations that are not proportional to the threat posed by them
Phobia or Phobic Disorder
Development of characteristic symptoms following exposure to an extreme traumatic stressor involving direct personal experience of an event that involves actual or threatened death or serious injury, or other threat to one’s physical integrity.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Excessive anxiety and worry, occurring more days than not for a period of at least 6 months, about a number of events or activities.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Recurrent obsessions or compulsions that are severe enough to be time consuming (i.e., they take more than 1 hour a day) or cause marked distress or significant impairment.
