what is anxiety
a state of apprehension, worry, uneasiness, or eagerness
what is state anxiety
immediate but temporary level of anxiety in a particular situation
what is trait anxiety
general inclination of a person to perceive situations as threatening
what is somatic response
physical symptoms

thoughts or worries
what is IZOF
-when the performers level of arousal/anxiety is at the optimum level
-they will give their best performance
when are performers said to be in the zone
-when they’re focused
-performance appears to be effortless
what is aggression
any behaviour that is intended to harm another individual by physical or verbal means
what is intrinsic theory
states that aggression is inevitable as it is inherited
what is the frustration aggression hypothesis
frustration is caused by the environment blocking of the performer- triggers aggression
what is the aggressive cue hypothesis
frustration leads to an increase in arousal which increases readiness for aggression
