Fluconazole mech of action:
bind to sterols and can cause cell death or interfere with cell replication, depending on the type of fungus and concentration of the drug
Fluconazole indications:
treat systemic and topical fungal infections
Fluconazole contraindications:
Hepatic/renal dysfunction, endocrine or fertility problems, pregnancy/lactation
Fluconazole adv. effects:
liver toxicity, severe effects on the fetus or the nursing baby

allergy
nystatin adv effects:
hepatic and renal toxicity, bone marrow suppression, rash, GI effects
what method if taking nystatin orally?
swish/swallow
should you stop taking medication if symtoms subside?
NO, finish cycle even if menstruating, DO NOT have sex until finished
