0.3, 0.4, 0.6 mg; repeat q5min x3 PRN

Onset 1-3 min; Peak 4 min; Duration 20-30 min
nitrate s/e
HA, hypotension, dizziness d/t peripheral vasodilation (venous and arterial)
nitrate nsg responsibility
potentiate hypotension with Viagra and antiHTN drugs; keep in air tight container; do NOT admin with pt standing up; change position slowly; sip of water for dry mouth; offer tylenol for HA r/t nitroglycerin NTG
nitrate herbal interaction with
hawthorn; potentiate hypotension
