Domperidone is first line as it does not cross the BBB, therefore avoids extra-pyramidal side effects

Cyclizine is first line
Promethazine is second line
Ondansetron is not licensed
Which anti-emetic is typically used post-operatively?
Ondansetron (do not use if prolonged QT) or cyclizine if caused by opioids or anaesthetic
Prochlorperazine is an alternative
Which antiemetics are used for chemotherapy related nausea?
Ondansetron with dexamethasone
Alternatively can use prochlorperazine
Which anti-emetics are used in palliative care?
Levomepromazine or haloperidol
Which anti-emetic is used in GI or biliary disease?
Metoclopramide
