Psychological: Gender, disease, Drug therapy
External environment
Previous experience
What age range do puppies need socialization ?
4 to 10 weeks
What age range do kittens need socialization ?
2 to 7 weeks
List examples of body language that dogs show during an offensive threat
Standing stiff, piloerection, straightened tail with slow wag, ears forward, direct eye contact, teeth bared (vertical), barking growling.

Avoid: Eye contact, frontal approach, reaching (toward head or neck)
Preferred approach:
Look away from eyes, turn to side, allow dog to approach, bend at knee and stand straight?..??
