Anatomy - Lower Limb - Vessels Flashcards

1
Q

Superficial lymph vessels

A
  • those that drain the lateral foot and the posterolateral leg: accompany the short saphenous vein and drain to popliteal nodes then via deep lymph vessels to inguinal nodes
  • those that drain the other areas drain to superficial inguinal lymph nodes
  • superficial inguinal lymph nodes drain vua saphenous hiatus to deep inguinal and external iliac lymph nodes
