How are most breast tumors biopsied?
A
Most are detected as micro calcifications on mammogram a stereotactically biopsied by the radiologist.

Current treatment recommendation for breast cancer?
A
Lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy and radiation therapy. Note that the sentinel node biopsy is used to differentiate between the need for hormonal therapy or chemotherapy.

Surgery plus whole breast radiation

Mastectomy + reconstructive surgery
