Found in walls of hollow visceral organs and blood vessels. Single, narrow, rod-shaped cells. Non-striated, uninucleated cells. Involuntary control.
Describe cardiac muscle.
Located in the walls of the heart. Branching chains of cells. Striated, uninucleated cells. Involuntary control.
What are the functions of the muscular system?
Maintain posture. Produce movement. Stabilise joints. Protection. Generate heat.
What is epimysium?
Connective tissue wrapped around the entire muscle.
