The major arteries are the Aorta (Auscultate) (Heart), Carotid (Check Pulse) (Neck), Radial (Check Pulse) and Ulnar (Forearm), Femoral (Leg), Brachial (Check Pulse on infants and toddlers) (Bicep), Dorsal Pedi’s and Postier Tibial (Check even in head 2 hands) (Feet)

Where is the Radial artery and when would you check it?

Your radial artery is located on your forearm on the thumb side, you would check it for a pulse unless the patient is hypothermic, lacerated above the radial, or in shock.
