investigations for amyloidosis?

A

● Urine - check for proteinuria, free immunoglobulin light chains (in AL)
● Bloods
● Serum Amyloid Precursor Scan - radiolabelled SAP will localise the deposits of amyloid
● Congo red staining: apple green birefringence.
● Tissue Biopsy – to diagnose amyloidosis
