Inflammatory disorder of the nose where the nose become sensitized to allergens

Allergen avoidance

Oral or intranasal antihistamines
What is the management of moderate-to-severe persistent symptoms, or initial ineffective drug treatment?
Intranasal corticosteroids
What is the problem of using long term topical nasal decongestants?
Rebound hypertrophy of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis medicamentosa) may occur upon withdrawal
