When does the emergency lights turn on automatically while in the armed position?
all emergency lights illuminate automatically if airplane electrical power to DC bus No. 1 fails or AC power is turned off
When does the ELT start transmitting while in the armed position?
ARMED – ELT starts transmitting if high deceleration is sensed.
When does the passenger oxygen masks drop automatically?
Passenger masks drop and passenger oxygen system activated automatically if cabin altitude climbs to 14,000 feet
Other than the flight deck, where else can you turn the emergency lights be turned on from?
The emergency exit lights may also be illuminated by a switch on the aft attendant
panel. Lifting the guard and pushing the switch ON overrides the flightdeck control
and illuminates the emergency exit lights
When does the FDR start recording?
After first engine start on the ground and its recording anytime there is electrical power on the plane while air born.
When does the CVR start recording?
The recordings start with the first rise in engine oil pressure and go onto a 120 or 30min (as fitted) continuous loop tape until 5mins after last engine shutdown.
In the UTC mode, where is the clock getting information from?
GPS

From 6 air/ground sensors. There are 2 located on each landing gear.
