Air systems Flashcards
In the PACK fail non-normal procedure, the crew selects a warmer temperature in order to?
Reduce the workload on the affected air conditioning pack.
In MANUAL pressurisation mode, the outflow valve is driven by?
A motor supplied from DC standby bus
Where are the bleed trip sensors installed?
The sensors are positioned on both sides of the engine bleed air valve
If all TEMPERATURE ZONE SELECTORS are positioned to OFF, what temperatures do the packs maintain?
The left pack maintains 24 degrees, the right 18 degrees.
Isolation valve in AUTO - When does it open?
If either engine Bleed valve is off or Pack switch is off.
What happens when DUCT OVERHEAT light comes on?
Air mix valves drive full cold
what happens when PACK TRIP OFF light illuminates?
Pack Temp has exceeded limits - Pack valve automatically closes and mix valves drive full cold
If the aircraft is not on the ground and the flaps are up, if both packs are in auto and one engine fails or a pack switch is selected to Auto the remaining pack will switch to High flow automatically? - Why doesn’t this occur on the ground or with Flaps down?
To ensure adequate engine performance is available for OEI operations.
Is the Recirculation fan AC or DC driven?
AC driven (AC Motor)
ZONE TEMPERATURE
What zone does the left electronic controller control and what zone does the right controller control?
Left electronic controller controls the aft cabin zone and provides backup for the flight deck, the Right controls the forward cabin zone and provides primary control for the flight deck.
Will failure of the primary flight deck controller cause a master caution?
No, the Standby will automatically take over. The CONT CAB and ZONE TEMP lights will illuminate on Recall.
What type of motor powers the cabin pressurisation controller?
DC motor
How many trim air pressure regulators are there in the air conditioning system?
1
In the parking checklist, what position are the ENG bleeds left in?
ON
What do COWL ANTI-ICE (Located on the Probe heat panel) indicate?
An over-pressure condition in duct downstream of engine cowl anti-ice valve
