A

A

Two spongy, elastic organs in thoracic cavity, protected by the vertebral column m, rubs and sternum. They are cone shaped and ping/grey in colour.

Describe the internal structure of the lungs.

A

Bronchi enter the lungs and branch numerously into bronchioles and each bronchiole has several air sacs called alveoli. each alveolus has a very thin membrane and is surrounded by many small capillaries.
