Autism Spectrum Disorder
Restrictive repetitive patterns of behavior, interest, or activities.
- Stereotyped or repetitive motor movements
- Insistence on sameness, inflexible adherence to routines or ritualized patterns of behavior
- Highly restricted, fixated interest
- Hyper or hyperactivity to sensory input
Persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction across multiple contexts as manifested by—
- deficits in social-emotional reciprocity
- nonverbal communicative behaviors for social interaction
- developing, maintaining and understanding relationships
Substance Use Disorder
A problematic pattern of use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress
Adjustment Disorder
The development of emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to an identifiable stressor(s) occurring within 3 months of the onset of the stressor.
- Symptom’s and behaviors are clinically significant
- Significant impairment in social, occupational, or other functions
- Not normal bereavement
- Do not persist for 6 months past stressor or consequences of stress
Somatic Symptom Disorder
- One or more somatic symptoms that are distressing or result in significant disruption of daily life.
- Excessive thoughts, feelings, or behaviors related to the somatic symptom’s or associated with health concerns
Bipolar II
Hypotonic with depressive episodes
Bipolar I
Full manic with depressive episode
Schizophrenia
Two (or more) of the following, present significant portion of time during 1 month
- Delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech
- grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior
- Negative symptoms, diminished emotional expression or avolition
Level of function in 1 or more major areas (work, interpersonal relations, self-care) marked below previously maintained level
- Continuous for at least 6 months
- Must rule out schizoaffective and depressive or bipolar disorder with psychotic features.
PTSD
Exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, sexual violence in 1 or more of the following ways:
- Directly experiencing, —witnessing in person
- Learning event happened to close family or friend (violent/accidental)
- Experiencing repeated or extreme exposure to aversive details of traumatic event
- flashbacks
- nightmares
- hyper vigilance
- sleep disturbance
- reckless/self-destructive behavior
- exaggerated startle response
Major Depressive Disorder
Five or more of the following symptoms present during same 2-week period and representing change from previous functioning:
- depressed mood
- diminished interest or pleasure
- significant weight or appetite change
- sleep disturbance
- psychomotor agitation
- fatigue
- feelings of worthlessness/guilt
- diminished concentration
- thoughts of death
- symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment

Reactive Attachment Disorder
-Consistent pattern of inhibited, emotionally withdrawn behavior toward adult caregivers—rarely or minimally seeks/responds comfort when distressed
-A persistent social and emotional disturbance characterized by:
—minimal social and emotional responsiveness to others
—limited positive affect
—episodes of unexplained irritability, sadness, or fearfulness during non-threatening interactions
Borderline Personality Disorder
A pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image, and affects, and marked impulsivity, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts.
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder
Severe recurrent temper outbursts manifested verbally and/or behaviorally (physical aggression toward people or property) that are grossly out of proportion in intensity or duration to the situation or provocation.
-inconsistent with developmental level
Persistent irritable mood between outbursts
-present 12 or more months
-occurs on average 3 or more times per week
ADHD
A persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development as characterized by 1 and/or 2:
1) Inattention- at least 6 months, inconsistent developmentally, negatively impacts social and academic/occupational activities
2) Hyper activity
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
A presence of obsessions, compulsions, or both
- Obsessions—recurrent and persistent thoughts, urges, or images experience as intrusive or unwanted which individual tries to ignore or suppress
- Compulsions—1) repetitive behaviors or mental acts; individual is driven to perform in response to an obsession; 2) behaviors/mental acts aimed at preventing/reducing anxiety or distress
