Management of ill or unstable with atrial fibrillation
Emergency cardio version with 150J
What is used 1st line for atrial fibrillation ?

- bisoprolol or diltiazem
What is used 2nd line for rate control in AF:
Any 2 of bisprolol, diltiazem or digoxin.
WHat is used for rhythm control in AF if the person has structural heart disease?
Amiodarone
What is used for rhythm control in AF if the person does not have structural heart disease

Congestive HF = 1 Hypertension = 1 Age >/= 75 = 2 Age 65-74 = 1 Diabetes = 1 Stroke / TIA = 2 Vascular disease = 1 Sex = female 1
How do you interpret the CHA2DS2VS score?
0 = no treatment 1 = treat if male 2 = anticoagulate.
What do you use for rate control of AF if the person has heart failure?
Digoxin. OR carvedilol
