How is gestational age calculated?
time since the first day of the last period
when is the estimated date of delivery?
40 weeks from the first day of the last period
gravida refers to
the number of times of they have conceived (however NB twins = one)
para refers to
the number of pregnancies that have reached 24 weeks or longer (however NB twins = 1 or 2 depending on who you ask)

first trimester
second trimester
third trimester
0-12 weeks
13-26 weeks
27 weeks +
at what gestational age do foetal movements begin?
20 weeks gestation - and they continue until birth
occurs before 10 weeks gestation
booking clinic

the dating scan - accurate dating calculated from crown/rump length and also twins are identified

antenatal appointment - results discussed and future appointments are planned
