What are adjuvant agents?
A
Drugs whose primary role does not include analgesia. Agents that modify the effects of other drugs while having few effects themselves. Often used as supplemental agents to increase the effectiveness of analgesics, and may reduce the side effects of narcotics by reducing the overall dose required.
