Acute coronary syndrome Flashcards
Define STEMI
ST elevation Myocardial Infarction
Symptoms with a STEMI are ______ relieved with rest
NOT
STEMI Diagnosis seen with:
cardiac enzymes elevated, ST elevation on EKG
STEMI Treatment
: ASA, Nitrates SL or IV, BB, antiplatelet, heparin therapy, PCI, fibrinolysis
Define NSTEMI
NON STEMI myocardial infarction
NSTEMI Diagnosis:
Diagnosis: Signs of ischemia on EKG (ST depression, TWI), Elevated troponin or cardiac enzymes
NSTEMI symptoms occur
with activity and/or at rest and/or nitrates.
UA/ NSTEMI Treatment:
MONA, ACE or ARB if EF <40% DAPT (clopidogrel, prasugrel, tricangrelor)
Define Unstable angina
Define Stable Angina
Symptoms occur with activity and is relieved with rest and or nitrate
stable angina treatment
lower lipids, ASA, lifestyle modification, nitrates
