What is the aim of Retribution
A
- Based on the idea the offender needs to be punished
- Contains elements of revenge

- Cognitive theories: CBT teach offenders ways to correct their thinking errors to what leads to crime

- Right realism argues there is only a limit of succes that occurs due to continuing recividism rates
-Marxists argue it shifts the responsiblity to the indivisuals failings when it could be captialsim leads to a failing society due to not having any other choice
