According to this theory there are 4 reasons why people do not commit crime:
-attachment: what others may think? Care for relationships
-commitment: what they have to lose? Could be a job, committing crime is a risk
-involvement: how involved individuals are to society wether that be hobbies, job or leisure activities.
-belief: to what extent do we believe to obey the law.
