A

Teachers and Parents can show external forms of social control by punishment
(Detention)

Conformity to social laws - if a police officer is present we behave

Fear of Punishment:
Individual deterrence - you are punished
General deterrence -others are punished

Hirschi’s Bond of Attachment
We are attached to family
We are committed to our jobs
We are involved in law abiding behaviour
We have law abiding beliefs

Smarter crime control can be reinvesting in what works
