E-e.g although some criterion maybe diff to measure, def takes into acc persons subjective experience nd their perception today their ability to cope with everyday life nd weather or not they are feeling severe perosonal distress.
L- therefore FFA capture the experience of many ppl who need help sugg is a useful def to assess abnormality
AO3 limitation FFA
P- a weakness of FFA is that is easy to label non-standard behaviour, lifestyle choices as abnormal.
E- very hard to say when someone is really failing to function adequately nd when they have chosen to deviate away from social norms
E-an e.g of this maybe those who favour high risk leisure activities or unusual spiritual practices could be classed as unreasonable and therefore abnormal
L- therefore this is a limitation of FFA as ppl who make unusual choices are at risk of being labelled abnormal nd their freedom of choice may therefore be restricted
