[WATER SYS DEPRESS ]
Whenever this button is activated, the aircraft water systems will depressurize,and water will no longer be available to the galleys and lavatories. In addition, the toilet flush mechanism will continue to function, however no rinse water will be available.

If water is not available in the galleys and lavatories prior to departure, before calling Maintenance to the aircraft, ensure that the green light on the [ WATER SYS DEPRESS ]button isnot illuminated.

When ensuring that water quantity is adequate for flight, if the In-Charge Flight Attendantnotices that green light is still on, s/he must:

Depressurization - portable water system
- Confirm that Maintenance Personnel has providedthe aircraft with water.
- Press [WATER SYS DEPRESS ]button, this will close the depressurization valve. The green light will then be extinguished.It takes five to ten minutes for the water pressure to be restored (depending on the quantity of water in the tanks) and the water systems will be functional.

- Advise PIC that CC has been briefed on all normal and emergency procedures
