the code requires that workers:

- promote the rights of service users at all times
- work in collaboration with colleagues to deliver care that is high quality, compassionate and safe
- respect a person’s rights to confidentiality
- communicate in an open and honest way
- strive to improve the quality of health care provision offered
- uphold and promote equality, diversity and inclusion
