- provide practical help and support for people that have difficulties with DAILY ACTIVITIES

- people with physical or learning disabilities
- people with mental health problems

A
may support one person providing intensive support or multiple people to keep them living in their own homes

work across a range of settings including people’s homes, GP practices residential homes or nursing homes

What are the duties of care assistants?
A
WILL VARY DEPENDING ON CLIENT NEEDS BUT COULD INCLUDE:
- helping with personal daily care eg washing and dressing
- general household tasks eg cleaning and shopping
- paying bills
- writing letters
- liaising with other healthcare professionals
