They cover a wide range of crimes including theft , drug possession and can be tried in either court.

Summary offences normally carry a maximum sentence of 6 months imprisonment.

The crown court has greater powers of punishment and you would normally see more serious cases trailed here.

They have multiple courtrooms and hearing various cases

Crown courts are open to the public and contain a special seating area for members of the public

criminal damage is destroying another persons property such as vandalism or graffiti.

Homicide is the unlawful killing of another person , this includes murder and manslaughter.

kidnapping is abducting or unlawfully killing restraining another person against their will often involving lots of threats.
