A

Shawn and mc kay theory describe the concept of zone transition . There are 5 zones between the central business district and outer fringes of the city ( rural areas) . Q

what is zone 2 in location and crime ?

A

zone 2 is the zone of transition. The cheapest zone for housing and the first one settled by new immigrants migrants. There is less sense of community here as people are transient and unlikely to feel a sense of duty to one another. This means they are more likely to commit crime against their neighbourhood. Zone 2 has the highest level of crime.
