Explain the difference between experienced places and media places. (4 marks)

  • Experienced places are places that you have lived in or visited before
  • Media places are places we know through media such as TV.
  • Media places are fiction for example Hogwarts and we gain a strong sense of place through media representations of these places
  • These places cannot fall short of expectations as we can not experience them

* Built environment is packed showing urban. Building in the background is tall and industrial
* Shops but buildings are industrial
