• Exogenous factors are those which have an external cause.
• Exogenous factors such as the flows of people change the character of places
• For example, large number of South Asian migrants in Manchester have created the Curry Mile in Rusholme.
• The character of the area is restaurants, colourful shops and supermarkets.
